NEW YORK – NJIT men's fencing posted a 4-0 day at the MACFA A vs B held at Hunter on Sunday.
The Highlanders (7-5) defeated Rutgers 22-5, TCNJ 27-0, Drew 19-8 and Cornell 16-11.
The foil squad posted 9-0 records against Rutgers, TCNJ and Drew. All three foil fencers
Simon Rizell,
Chris Saulys and Thomas Manley each tallied 10-1 records on the day.
In epee, the squad went undefeated against both Rutgers and TCNJ. Freshman Brett Bogert went 8-1 on the day and
Ege Ayan recorded six wins and three losses.
Men's sabre went 9-0 against TCNJ, with
Cole Degeorges leading the pack with a 10-2 record on the day.
Robert Slawinski and
Tristan Quinton both posted .500 records or above, with Slawinski grabbing an 8-4 record and Quinton going 6-6.
Next up for men's fencing is the Tradition Tournament on December 3 held at Vassar starting at 8am.
