FORT MYERS, FL—The ASUN Conference men's soccer match between Florida Gulf Coast and NJIT scheduled for Saturday, October 28 has been postponed due to heavy rain and unplayable field conditions.
The match is rescheduled for Sunday, October 29 at 12Noon at FGCU Soccer Complex.
NJIT and FGCU will battle for the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye.
NJIT holds the advantage heading into the night as they have scored more goals in conference play (9) compared to the Eagles (7).
That means that NJIT would earn the No. 2 seed with a win or draw in Fort Myers.
FGCU can only clinch the No. 2 spot and the bye in the opening round with a victory.

Pablo Jimenez for NJIT. The freshman has collected seven assists, which leads the conference and ranks tied for first in the NJIT Division I era.
Sophomore keeper
Victor Pujades has been a mainstay in net for the Highlanders since arriving on campus. He has played and started in 33 of a possible 35 games. He leads the ASUN with 78 total saves this season.

FGCU enters the final weekend of conference play looking for a victory vs. NJIT. The Eagles have either been the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in every ASUN Championship they have participated in.

Sunday's meeting marks just the second all-time meeting between FGCU and NJIT. Last year, FGCU secured a convincing 4-1 victory on the road. Dylan Sacramento scored twice and added an assist in the victory.
