FORT MYERS, FL—Florida Gulf Coast won its fourth straight match of the season, improving to 13-5 overall with a convincing, 6-1 victory over, visiting NJIT Thursday afternoon in men's tennis Atlantic Sun Conference action at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

The Eagles (3-0 A-Sun, 13-5 overall) earned the doubles point with wins at first and third singles while, recording five-out-of-six singles contests.  The Highlanders (0-2 A-Sun, 8-4 overall) picked up its only point of the match at first singles from senior Markus Schultz.

Schultz, the lone Highlander to pick up a win on Thursday, won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4 at the first spot, defeating Andres Alfonzo.

NJIT will be back in action on Sunday at 10am when the Highlanders visit North Florida at UNF Tennis Complex in Jacksonville, Florida.
