Men's lacrosse, 0-12 last year, claims its first win in the 10th game of the second season as a Divsion I varsity sport at NJIT.
The Highlanders (1-9), who were outshot by Dartmouth 41-15, earned 14 saves from goal keeper
Nick Marzullo, who also posted a .667 save percentage, his best percentage in a game so far this season. Sophomore Marzullo also tallied 12 ground balls and two caused turnovers in the first win of his career.
The Highlanders had seven different scorers in the win, including three goals from
Ryan Callaghan, and two goals and two assists from
Joe Lomeli.
Aaron Forster tallied a game-high three assists while also adding a goal and

The Big Green (1-5) was led by super star Wiley Osborne, who scored six of Dartmouth's seven goals. Dartmouth goalie Blair Friedensohn tallied five saves in the loss.
In a back and forth first period, Osborne put the Big Green on the board first at 10:30, and under a minute later the Highlanders answered with a goal from Bradway off a pass from Forster.
Lomeli put the Highlanders up by one with an assist from Bradway, and freshman Carr would add to that after scoring his first goal of the season, leaving NJIT up 3-2 at the end of the first.
Dartmouth would take the second quarter, starting with two unassisted goals by Osborn and another unanswered goal by Richie Loftus.
Lomeli gave NJIT one goal in the second quarter, making the score 5-4 Dartmouth going into halftime.
Just eight seconds into the third quarter, Osborne scored his fifth goal of the game, but the Highlanders came back and scored six unanswered goals to seal their landmark win.
At 12:58, Darrow connected on a pass from Lomeli to put the Highlanders within one in the third and Callaghan scored the first of his three goals, to end the period tied at 6-6.
In the fourth period Bradway baited the Big Green defense and attacked the goal, finding Rice waiting on the bottom of the crease, and with a quick pass-and-shoot goal the Highlanders took the 7-6 lead.
Callaghan and Forster continued adding on the goals for NJIT, putting them ahead 10-6 with 1:59 remaining in the game.
Osborne scored one more for the Big Green but to no avail with the final score in favor of the Highlanders, 10-7.
Coach
Travis Johnson had a few words on the win: "I'm happy with all the guys, and their work. Getting a win against a school like Dartmouth was awesome."
