Box ScoreNEWARK, NJ—The NJIT men's tennis team won its second straight match with a 5-2 victory over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson Sunday afternoon in The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
FDU won the doubles point with wins at the second and third spot. The Highlanders went on to win five out of six singles contests for a 5-2 victory. FDU's lone singles win came at the second spot.
NJIT's
Markus Schultz won by identical scores, 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, topping Adam Chan.
Jan Cimrman was a straight set winner at third singles, 6-1, 6-3, defeating Pedro Carvalho while teammate
Arnaud Holl won by default at the fourth spot.
Freshmen
Lukas Zvikas and
Zac Castagna were straight set winners at the fifth and sixth spot for the Highlanders, winning 6-2, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-2 respectively.
Highlander pair Schutlz and Holl won 6-3 at first doubles.
NJIT will return to action on Saturday at 6pm when the Highlanders visit Army.
