PRINCETON, NJ – NJIT ice hockey suffered their first loss of the year, a 6-3 decision to Princeton at Baker Arena on Friday.
The Tigers, who are the reigning 2015-16 CSCHC Champions, scored once in the first period to take a 1-0 lead.
NJIT tied the game on
Matthew Lepinski's goal in the second.
Princeton scored a pair of goals in a span of 6 seconds and NJIT could never get closer than two goals again.
The Highlanders scored two impressive Power Play goals, one each by
Yllano Tubilleja and
James Lyle, each had several opportunities but could not find the back of the net.
