NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT men's tennis team won its second straight match edging visiting Monmouth, 4-3, Sunday at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT (6-4) earned the doubles point taking two of three doubles contests and split singles competition with Monmouth to edge the visiting Hawks, 4-3.

Highlander duo
Markus Schultz and
Arnaud Holl teamed for an 8-7 (7) victory at first doubles topping Victor Pugliese and Przemyslaw Filipek. Holl, competing at third singles, battled out a three-set tilt 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 against Ale Gomez Estrada.
NJIT pair
Andres Alban and
Jan Cimrman notched an 8-3 win at second doubles defeating Christian Vieira and Vidit Vaghela. Alban was a double-winner on the day for NJIT, combining for a 7-6 (6), 6-1 victory at second singles topping Filipek.
Highlander
Luka Kaic defeated Luke Adamus in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2 at sixth singles.
NJIT will return to action on March 13 when the Highlanders host NYIT at 6pm in The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
