PHILADELPHIA—The NJIT men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Penn Wednesday afternoon at the Hecht Tennis Center.
The Quakers won its sixth straight match of the spring season improving to 6-0 while the Highlanders, who entered the match on a four-match win streak, suffered its first loss of the season, falling to 4-1.
Penn won two out of three doubles contests and five of six singles contests cruising to a 6-1 victory.
NJIT doubles pair
Markus Schultz and
Arnaud Holl won 6-3 at first doubles topping Thomas Spratt and Marshall Sharp.
Schultz, the lone singles winner for the visiting Highlanders, won in straight sets at first singles, defeating Penn's Vim De Alwis, 6-4, 6-3.
