WEST CHESTER, PA - With an outstanding performance by James McNally, who netted seven goals, Millersville beat NJIT 12-5.
Special teams were the difference as the Millersville Pirates scored five times on the power play while not giving up a single goal in four chances to the Highlander's power play.
The Pirates kept NJIT's goalie busy throughout the game, as
Thomas Pyrka made 47 saves on 59 shots and Marc Daouphars rejected 26 shots on goal for Millersville.
Millersville got points from Matt Iehle, who also had one goal and four assists, Sean Walsh, who finished with one goal and two assists, and Kyle Riddle, who registered one goal and one assist. Others scorers  for Millersville included Erik Bowers and Robert Weinberger, who each put in one. More assists came via Tim Dirugeris, who had three and Ben Flocken, Aaron Crosson, Josh Feehan, Danny Madonna, Cyle Knopf, and Cameron Trump, who contributed one each.
Domenico Crincoli, scored two goals for the Highlanders while his brother,
Michael Crincoli picked up the assist and later scored a goal of his own. NJIT also got points from
Matthew Lepinski, who also had a goal and an assist. The Highlanders
Christopher Murphy rounded out the scoring. Other players who recorded assists for were
Yllano Tubilleja,
Thomas Mudry and
David Ferrero, who each chipped in one.
