BETHLEHEM, PA – NJIT men's swimming and diving competed against host Lehigh and Colgate in a tri-meet on Saturday.
Lehigh defeated the Highlanders 138-80, while Colgate was victorious in a close 120-112 dual.
Senior
Richard Seffrin placed second in both the 1000 free (9:57.11) and the 500 free (4:49.59).
In the 100 free, senior
Brian Capozzola swam a 46.54, good enough for second place, and a 21.22 in the 50 free, good for third.
Sophomore
Scott Quirie finished second in the 200 IM swimming in 1:59.39 and the 200 back in 1:57.64.
During the 1 meter dive, junior
Joseph Pedo placed second with a score of 127.35 and freshman
Blake Rader finished third, scoring 108.30.
In the 200 fly, sophomore
Collin Moore placed second (1:57.42) and freshman
Edward Parks placed third (1:58.93), and in the 200 breast, freshman
Alex Danielson placed second (2:18.89) and senior
Jonathan Drori placed third (2:19.17).
Capozzola, junior
Michael Sungurov, Seffrin and Moore finished second in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:10.05.
NJIT will host Saint Peter's and Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) opponent VMI on November 7 at 1pm.
