PHILADELPHIA—The NJIT men's fencing team competed at the Philadelphia Invitational this past weekend hosted by Temple University.
The Philadelphia Invitational featured the following teams: Haverford, UPenn, Sacred Heart, North Carolina and Duke.
Senior foilist
Max McDermott led the Highlanders on the foil strip registering a 7-8 record picking up two victories against Haverford, North Carolina and UPenn.
Guillaume Lanteri, a sophomore from Paris, France, combined for a 6-9 record on the epee strip Saturday with two wins coming against Haverford and picked up one win against Duke, North Carolina, UPenn and Sacred Heart.
The sabre squad combined for a 13-32 record at the Invitational led by junior
Bryan Ransinangue, who posted a 7-8 record. Ransinague notched two wins apiece against Duke, Haverford and Sacred Heart.
Senior
Dylan Carr finished with a 6-9 record with two wins coming against North Carolina and one win apiece against Duke, Haverford, UPenn and Sacred Heart.
The Highlanders will return to action on February 10 at the MACFA A vs. B hosted by Drew University.
