ORLANDO, FL—The NJIT men's tennis team improved to 10-4 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Chicago State Tuesday evening recording the teams' first victory of the Spring Break trip.
 
The Highlanders posted its 10
th victory of the season winning five out of six singles matches in straight sets Tuesday.  The Cougars (0-10) earned the doubles point taking first and second doubles and picked up the team's second point at third singles.
 
Highlanders 
Holger Norregaard was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at the first spot.  Norregaard also won by default at third doubles with 
Victor Martinez.  Martinez picked up a 6-3, 6-0 victory at second singles.
 
Sophomore 
Ike Kiro topped Chicago State's Rashley Yeremia 6-1, 6-3 followed by senior 
Dan Salomon with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the fifth spot.  Senior 
Bryan Keelan won by default at sixth singles.
 
The Highlanders will have off on Wednesday from competition and return with a 10am match on Thursday vs. Bucknell.
