ORLANDO, FL—The Liberty men's tennis team improved to 8-3 on the season posting its fifth straight win with a 5-2 victory over NJIT Tuesday.
NJIT (9-4) suffers its second loss in Florida after Valparaiso edged the Highlanders, 4-3, Monday afternoon.
The Flames earned the doubles point taking the Highlanders in all three doubles matches and won four out of six singles contests for the 5-2 victory.
NJIT freshman
Holger Norregaard won at first singles for NJIT in a three-set tilt over Liberty's Siim Tuus, 7-6(4), 2-6, 10-6.
Sophomore
Petr Rousar recorded the other Highlander point at third singles also battling out a three-set tilt with Liberty's Gian Lemmi, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(3).
The Highlanders face Chicago State at 3pm Tuesday.
