NEWARK, NJ – The Fordham men's tennis team improved to 7-1 on the season as the Rams edged the Highlanders, 4-3, Thursday evening at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
The Rams posted wins at the first four singles spots to earn the victory. NJIT posted the doubles point with victories at second and third doubles. The Highlanders also picked up two more points at fifth and sixth singles.

Holger Norregaard and
Ike Kiro were 8-5 winners at second doubles over Fordham's Srikar Alla and JJ Tauil while
Joao Tasca and
Bryan Keelan blanked Ram's Peder Gram and Eli Plannger, 8-0, at the third spot.
The only two winners for NJIT in the singles competition were Tasca and
Fraser Croad. Tasca, competing at the fifth spot, won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4 followed by Croad with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at sixth singles over Alex DeRienzo.
The Highlanders will return to action on February 18 and host Villanova and St. Francis (NY) at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility. The match against Villanova will start at 9am followed by a 5pm start vs. the Terriers.
