MADISON, NJ – NJIT men's fencers
Max McDermott,
Bryan Ransinangue and
Christian Aldover finished with a 7-2 record Sunday at the MACFA A vs. B Invitational hosted by Drew.
NJIT (6-11), posted a 15-12 win over Lafayette and dropped a 15-12 decision to Rutgers and 17-10 decision to Cornell.
The saber squad was led by Ransinangue and Aldover – Aldover went 3-0 vs. Lafayette and Rutgers but fell 2-1 against Cornell. Ransinangue was a 3-0 winner vs. Lafayette and finished 2-1 against Rutgers and Cornell. The saber squad posted a 20-7 record on the day.
McDermontt led the foil squad blanking Lafayette, 3-0, and picking up two wins against Rutgers and Cornell.
Freshman
Guillaume Lanteri, competing on the epee strip put together a strong performance notching an 8-1 record on the day. Lanteri swept Rutgers and Cornell and added two wins against Lafayette.
The NJIT men's fencing team will return to action on March 4 at the MACFA Championships.
