NEW YORK—The NJIT men's fencing team competed at the Columbia Invitation Friday afternoon facing Stevens and host Columbia.
The Highlanders (6-5) fell Friday against both teams – Columbia (17-10) and Stevens (15-12).
Senior
Max McDermott led the way on the foil strip blanking Columbia (3-0) and picking up a (1-2) record against Stevens finishing the day with a 4-2 overall record.
Sophomore
Guillaume Lanteri picked up two wins apiece against Columbia and Stevens Friday compiling a overall record of 4-2.
The NJIT men's saber squad finished the day with a 12-6 overall record paced by freshman
Adam Lewicki's 5-1 overall record. Lewicki blanked Stevens (3-0) and went (2-1) against host Columbia.
Dylan Carr, one of three seniors on the Highlanders squad, went 4-2 on the day shutting out Stevens (3-0) and picking up a win against Columbia (1-2).
Junior
Bryan Ransinangue went 3-3 overall Friday blanking Stevens (3-0).
