EASTON, PA—NJIT freshman
Adam Lewicki went a perfect 12-0 Sunday at the Lafayette Invitational competing on the saber strip against four opponents.
As a team, the Highlanders went 3-1 at the Invitational with its lone loss coming against Drew, 14-13. NJIT defeated Lafayette (14-13), Rutgers (16-11) and Cornell (14-13).
Lewicki, from Oakland, NJ, blanked each of his opponents compiling at 12-0 record on the day. For the weekend, Lewicki combined for a 25-2 record (at Haverford Invitational and Lafayette Invitational).
Bryan Ransinangue and
Dylan Carr each competing on the saber strip compiled a 9-3 record on Sunday. Each went 3-0 against Drew and Rutgers, 2-1 against Lafayette and 1-2 against Cornell.
Sophomore
Guillaume Lanteri finished with a 10-2 record on the epee strip at the Lafayette Invitational. Lanteri went 3-0 against Drew, Lafayette and Cornell but was downed 1-2 against Rutgers.
Senior
Max McDermott combined for a 9-3 record Sunday on competing on the foil strip. McDermott finished 3-0 against Rutgers and Cornell while picking up two wins against Lafayette and one against Drew.
