Mike Spisto will participate in “The 2
nd Annual Shots from the Heart Tournament”, presented by CollegeInsider.com, a free throw shooting contest to benefit the Skip Prosser Foundation.
The tournament will help to create more awareness for the growing problem of Heart Disease and to raise money to benefit the Skip Prosser Foundation. The former Wake Forest head coach passed away on July 26, 2007 of a heart attack.
CollegeInsider.com and the Skip Prosser Foundation are working with the American Heart Association, which will be a beneficiary of the Skip Prosser Foundation, to further promote 'Shots from the Heart' and the educational aspects of heart disease.
The tournament will be two 64-coach fields (one for head coaches and one for assistant coaches). Participating coaches will compete in a free throw shooting contest.
Each round of competition will take place over the course of one month. The first round will be in November, second in December, Round of 16 in January, Round of 8 in January, National Semifinals and Free Throw Final in February.
Participating coaches will have to shoot 25 free throws at his convenience. A member of the athletic department will be responsible for keeping track of all attempted shots and report to CollegeInsider.com.
