WEST POINT, NY – The NJIT men's tennis team was edged, 4-3, by Army Sunday afternoon.

Army claimed two of three doubles contests and three singles matches.  NJIT doubles pair Fraser Croad and Dimitri Athans combined for an 8-4 victory at third doubles.  Croad was a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 winner at third singles.

Senior Stephen Erickson started out the singles competition with a 6-2, 6-1 win at first singles over Gary Kushinrovich.  Sophomore Carl Lundquist picked up a win for NJIT at second singles, 7-6, 6-4.

The Highlanders will return to action on March 12 and visit Temple at 5pm.
