PHILADELPHIA – Senior Carl Lundquist was the only singles winner for NJIT in a 6-1 loss at Temple Friday afternoon.

Lundquist, competing at the second spot won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1 over Temple's Dmitry Vizhunov.

Doubles pair Stephen Erickson and Cosmin Chiujdea defeated Temple's Andrey Morozov and S. Stekolshikov 9-8 at second doubles.  Temple got the points from the doubles contest with an 8-6 win over Lundquist and Diego Abreu and an 8-2 victory in third singles over Fraser Croad and Dimitri Athans.

In first singles, Temple's Filip Rams edged Erickson 2-6, 7-5, 6-2.  Third thru sixth singles were won in straight sets by the Owls.

The Highlanders return to action on March 16 at Florida Atlantic.
