PRINCETON, NJ – On the strength of Robert Amos four goals, NJIT beat Princeton Saturday at Baker Arena.
Corrado Mancini opened the scoring with an assist going to Alex Guimaraes.
Princeton scored the first of their four power play goals to tie it a few minutes later.
Amos answered back with his first of four with just eight seconds remaining in the period to take the lead going in to the locker room.
Daniel Smith scored his first of the season in the middle of the second and Amos followed with 2 more to complete his 3rd Hat Trick of the season and extend the lead to 5-1 with one period to go.
Princeton scored another power play goal to open the third which was answered by Amos' fourth goal of the night.
Princeton made it interesting as they added three more goals and pulled the goalie for the last minute, but the Highlanders held on to win the game.
Assists went to Edward Vinoker, Nick Wujek, Guimares, Jason Anagnos, Smith and Greg Maxwell.
