EASTON, PA -- New Jersey Institute of Technology men's fencing team competed at the 56th Annual Middle Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association Championships, which were held on Sunday, February 22 at Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
The epee team featured senior Zachary Hvizdak, sophomore Andrew Kirk and Paul Lorenz. NJIT received a strong performance from Kirk, who is competing in his second season, finishing 11th picking up eight individual victories. Captain Hvizak recorded eight individual victories while Lorenz added six on the day.
The sabre squad consisted of Patrick Alvarado and freshmen Peter Besada and Greg Biondo. Biondo registered seven victories on the sabre strip as teammates Besada and Alvarado combined for eight victories.
