PITTSBURGH – Three members of the NJIT men's fencing team competed at the North American Cup this past weekend.

Freshman Valentin Ischer from Switzerland, finished 29 out of 211 entries at the national tournament in the epee competition.  Ischer defeated Soren Thompson, a 2004 Olympic top 8 finisher.

Classmate Dylan Carr took 93^rd at sabre that featured 105 entries and Max McDermott placed 175 in the foil competition.

Men's fencing returns to action on January 9 when they compete in the Penn Tournament.
