NJIT got their inaugural season in the Great Northeast Collegiate Hockey Conference off to a great start with a rousing 4-1 come-from-behind victory against Millersville University.   

After 3 hours on the bus the Highlanders looked a little sluggish, but were able to stay within striking distance as they held the Marauders to 1 goal over the first 2 periods.  

Down 1-0 going into the 3rd period NJIT dominated the action, scoring 4 unanswered goals and earning a victory in their first game at the ACHA D-II level.  

James Wintjen, assisted by Jason Anagnos and Nik Naumovski got it started with the tying goal early in the 3rd period.   

Alex Guimares followed that with the game winner with assists going to Mike Melillo and Kevn McMorrow.  

Kevin Mahon got the insurance goal a little later on a terrific shot and then  McMorrow put the nail in the coffin with an empty net goal.  

Strong play by Yllano Tubilleja in net and the defensemen down low in their own end made it all possible.
