Alyssa Mitchko tabs NJIT Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the 2018 ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships that took place at North Florida over the weekend.

Mitchko was the only female to place at the championships, grabbing second place in the javelin throw with a distance of 37.14m.

This is the second consecutive year the sophomore placed second in the javelin throw, Mitchko earned second in 2017 with a mark of 39.12m.
