John Tachon was named Male Athlete of the Week honors for his performance in the Highlanders 15-8 win over Hampton on Saturday.

The defenseman helped his team to their first win of 2018, tallying 10 ground balls, a goal and a caused turnover.

With his 10 ground balls the sophomore became the new program leading in ground balls with 150, and broke his own record of ground balls in a season holding 70 so far in 2018 with two games remaining.

Tachon also leads the program in caused turnovers with 36, and tied his season-best 18 from last season.
