Fencer Julia Garcia was named Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the NCAA Fencing Championships hosted by Penn State on Thursday and Friday.

The senior finished 12^th out of 24 epee fencers, in her fourth appearance in as many years at the championships.

Garcia posted an 11-12 overall record with 83 total touches.

With her twelfth place finish Garcia earned All-American honors for the second time in her career.
