Julia Garcia collected Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the NCAA Fencing Regional hosted by Lafayette over the weekend.
 
Garica posted an overall 12-9 record, earning sixth place in women’s epee.
 
The senior had a bye in the first round, and opened up the second going 4-1 with her only loss coming from Justine DeGrasse of North Carolina.
 
In the third and fourth rounds, Garcia picked up an 8-8 record, and posted a win against champion Barbara VanBenthuysen 5-2 in the final round.
