A two-time all-Great West pick, Chris Flores had one of his best career games in last Monday's rousing 78-58 win over Lafayette, scoring a season-high 23 points (8-16 FG; 5-6 3FG; 2-2 FT), with a career-best 11 rebounds, a career best-tying six assists and two steals.
He followed that with a team-leading 19 points in the loss at Longwood, bringing his average for the week to 21 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 15-33 FG (.455), 6-14 3FG (.429), 6-7 FT (.857), plus seven assists and two steals.
Flores, who averaged 14.1 points as a freshman and 12.6 ppg last year, started slowly by his standards and endured a three-game stretch where he combined for just 20 total points. However, over the last six games, he has at least 14 points and is averaging 16.8 ppg.
His season average is up to 12.2 ppg.
Flores was also named Great West Conference Player of the Week.
