In 3-0-1 undefeated week for NJIT - the best start in the Division I era - rising sophomore Paul Franzoni combined for three home runs and eight RBI. For his efforts, the Atlantic Sun named Franzoni its Baseball Player of the Week.
In game one vs. EMU, Franzoni hit a two-run walk off to give the Highlanders a 5-4 victory in the bottom of the ninth.
In Saturday's DH sweep of the Eagles, Franzoni went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, which included the sophomores second home run of the season.
Game two on Saturday, the sophomore catcher went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, driving in three RBI.
In a 9-9 draw in game four of the series, Franzoni knocked out his third home run of the series in the top of the first, finishing 1-for-4 with two RBI.
