Matt Kipp joined the NJIT Athletics Media Relations and Digital Strategy staff in August 2026, bringing extensive experience in sports communications, photography and digital content creation.

Kipp’s relationship with NJIT Athletics dates back to January 2020, when he began working as a freelance photographer for the department. During his time with NJIT, he arranged, directed, and photographed Media Days for all 19 varsity sports while providing photography coverage for athletic events throughout the year.

Kipp most recently served as ?Coordinator for Athletics Marketing & Media at La Salle University from August 2025 through June 2026, supporting the department’s communications, marketing, and creative efforts. Notably, he was the school’s baseball contact and lead photographer for its men’s basketball team. He helped generate more than one million Instagram views during the baseball team’s first month back in action since the program was reinstated following the 2021 season.

Outside of college athletics, Kipp has extensive experience working in and around affiliated professional baseball. He has served as team photographer for the New York Mets’ High-A affiliate, the Brooklyn Cyclones, for four seasons, collaborating with the Cyclones and Mets staffs to cover many of the organization’s top prospects and future major leaguers since 2021.

In 2025, Kipp worked as an MiLB Live Content Correspondent for Major League Baseball, producing and editing short-form video in real time during games for distribution across MLB club and league social media platforms. He led coverage in the Mets’ Double-A affiliate, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, during their 2025 Eastern League Championship season, following numerous current major leaguers. His short-form content for MLB social media generated multiple posts exceeding one million impressions.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Kean University in May 2025, graduating Cum Laude.
