Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations and Digital Strategy Stephanie Pillari announced the hiring of Myles Rudnick as the Highlanders' newest Assistant Media Relations and Digital Strategy Officer in August 2019. Rudnick, who has worked at Johns Hopkins University and most recently at New York University, rounds out NJIT's media relations/digital strategy staff of Pillari and Assistant Media Relations and Digital Strategy Officer Lamar Carter.

"I could not be more thrilled to get back to New Jersey and join Stephanie, Lamar and the rest of the NJIT staff," said Rudnick. "It is an exciting time to be a Highlander and I cannot wait to get started working with the student-athletes, coaches and entire department."

A native of Clifton and resident of Jersey City, Rudnick comes home to NJIT after working as the Assistant Sports Information Director & Coordinator of New Media at NYU since 2016. Rudnick assisted CoSIDA Hall of Famer Jeff Bernstein with the publicity of the Violets' 23 varsity athletics teams, including helping to maintain the department's website, statistical and webcast operations, creating team programs and publications, and managing NYU's use of social media, new media and technology.

At NYU, Rudnick played a big role in promoting women's basketball All-American Kaitlyn Read, who became the University's first-ever recipient of the prestigious Jostens Trophy following her outstanding 2017-18 season. Other highlights include publicizing wrestler Nathan Pike's journey to become the program's first-ever National Champion in 2017 and the Violets' NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship in 2018-19.

Rudnick began his career in sports information as a graduate student assistant at NYU during the 2014-15 academic year.

In between his two stints in New York City, Rudnick spent the 2015-16 academic year as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, serving as the primary contact for 10 of the Blue Jays' 23 varsity athletic teams.

Rudnick graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and added a Master of Science degree from NYU in 2015. During his senior year at TCNJ, Rudnick completed a one-year Media Relations internship with the New Jersey Devils in Newark.
