Biography
2022: Played in 24 of team's 28 matches, starting 21...finished the season with 150 kills (1.95 k/s)...also recorded 152 digs (1.97 d/s)...five matches with 10+ kills, including a season-high 17 (.343%) in win vs. Iona (9/21)...season-best 14 digs vs. FDU (9/6).
2021: All-Tournament Team at Rutgers 9/11 Memorial Tournament.
2020 (Played in Spring '21): Played in 11 of 12 matches as a freshman, leading the squad in kills (99; 2.45 kps)...89 digs were third most of the team...four matches with at least 10 kills, including season-best 15 vs. UMBC (3/21)...season-high 15 digs to go along with 13 kills for double-double vs. UNH (2/27).
Head Coach Pedro Trevino on Torres:
We saw Elley play at the Northeast Qualifier last year, and the first thing that we noticed was how she played defense. She would be playing middle back off the court and then when the ball was set she would move to the right spot. You don't see a lot of players doing this anymore. On top of her great defensive skills, her offense will be a great weapon for us as well. Elley is a five-tool player (passing, blocking, serving, hitting, and defense) and somebody that will make us so much better in 2020.
