    Assistant Coach
Raj Das, an alumni of NJIT and a four-year letter winner in both indoor and outdoor track and field, joined the track and field coaching staff as a student assistant coach in November 2016, and has been an Assistant Coach, for Javelin, Weight Throw, and Hammer Throw, since September 2017.  He has been a captain, teammate, and coach for multiple ASun All-Conference Throwers since NJIT entered the conference in 2015. 

NJIT's Student Senate President from April 2015 to April 2016, graduated cum laude from NJIT with a BS in Civil Engineering in Spring '16, graduated NJIT with a MS in Civil Engineering in Spring ’17. 

Das, works for Skanska USA, currently in their Rotational Program, and has been assigned to projects such as the Second Ave Subway and Phase 1 and 2 of the Farley Redevelopment Project, which expended access to Penn Station tracks below the James A. Farley Post Office, including a Skylight Train Hall to provide more access to the tracks with retail space, acting as the new Penn Station.

At the 2016 ASUN Conference Outdoor Championships, earned 5th Place in the Javelin with a collegiate-best throw of 46.05m.

In 2014-15, Das received the Chi Alpha Sigma award which recognizes college students who receive a varsity letter in their sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior or senior years.

In 2013, Das threw the shot put and weight throw at Great West Indoor Championships and multiple CTC Indoor Championships.  He competed in the shot put, discus hammer and javelin, earning a fifth-place finish in the Javelin at the 2013 Great West Outdoor Championships
