2007-08: One of three seniors on the NJIT squad, teamed with Doci at the No. 1 spot and earned second-team selections at first doubles. ...the duo compiled a record of 8-2. Kasem closes out her senior season with a 7-8 overall record (6-8 at #3 singles; 1-0 at #2 singles).
2006-07: Recorded a 6-15 record; 3-7 at third singles.
2005-06: Posted a 9-3 individual record playing second singles in tennis.
2004-05: Division II Northeast Region Women[apos]s Player of the Year in the ITA. ... Played first singles and was ranked 13th in singles and 6th in doubles in the ITA Northeast Region.
Prior to NJIT: All-Hudson County for coach Nancy Bodayle at Bayonne HS ... also played volleyball ... had a USTA regional ranking of No. 28 in her age group.
Personal: Daughter of Kasem and Maria Kasem... father Kasem is her personal tennis coach ... biomedical engineering major.
