Biography
2021-22: Posted records of 11-11 in singles (6-8 in duals) and 8-15 in doubles (4-11 in duals)...helped NJIT reach the Southland Championship match in its first season as an affiliate member.
2020-21: Team did not compete this season (COVID-19 opt-outs).
2019-20: Posted an 8-2 record in dual singles (tied, 2nd-most wins on team) and a 5-6 mark in dual doubles...including the fall, went 10-6 in singles and 6-10 in doubles.Â
2018-19: Went 8-11 (1-4 ASUN) in singles play and 12-5 (2-1 ASUN) in doubles action...logged a 6-4 combined record at Nos. 2 and 3 singles...went 6-3 at No. 3 doubles...defeated Rina Baynes of Wagner, 6-3, 6-0...scored a 6-1 win with Adara Omar against Hofstra.
2017-18: Saravanan, who joined the Highlanders in January, notched an 11-7 overall record in her first season at NJIT ...She picked up one win in ASUN action and went 6-1 at second singles and 5-6 at first singles. ...ASUN Player of the Week two times this season, Saravanan recorded a 9-5 overall record and 3-3 in ASUN action in doubles action. She combined for a 7-5 mark at the second spot and 2-0 at third doubles with teammate Helminsky.
Prior to NJIT: Advaita Saravanan, from Coimbatore, India, finished ranked No. 1 in women's state level and u18 rankings and ranks 36th in women's national ranking in India. She recorded 16 national level singles titles and ranks No. 25 in u18 rankings in India.Â
