Danielle Henderson

A 2010 graduate of Rutgers University with a double major in Cultural Anthropology and Philosophy, Danielle Henderson has built a remarkable list of accomplishments as a scholar and as an athlete, particularly in fencing.
 
She joined the NJIT fencing coaching staff in 2014-15, where she was reunited with her college coach, Yefim Litvan, and she also works alongside her older brother, NJIT assistant coach Jason Henderson, a two-time All-American for Rutgers in his own right.
 
Danielle, who earned a master’s in philosophy in Cultural Anthropology from Cambridge University in England in 2011 and she is a candidate for a JD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015.
 
On the fencing strip, she was an All-American at Rutgers and also earned a “Full Blue” (highest honor in British University sport, fencing for Cambridge.
 
An international-level fencer, she was a member of the 2009 United States Pan American Games (western hemisphere) team champions and was a two-time national champion and United States World team member.
 
On top of all that, in addition to being the Most Valuable Player of the Rutgers fencing team, she was also a letter winner on the Rutgers women’s rowing team and was that team’s top erg scorer.
