2013-14: Shakia Robinson, a 6-foot-1 post player from North Wales, Pennsylvania has enrolled in NJIT's School of Management Graduate Program and has one year of basketball eligibility remaining. ... Robinson, who played her first three seasons at UMass, used her final season of eligibility with the Highlanders after graduating from UMass in 2013. ...she closes out her college career with 1,009 points. ...Robinson led the Highlanders averaging 11.4ppg and shooting a team-best 59% from the field. ...Robinson notched 14 double-figure contests with a high of 25 points vs. VCU (12/28/13) and five double-double games.

Prior to NJIT: Shakia Robinson will play this season for the Highlanders as a graduate student after playing three years at the University of Massachusetts. ...The 6-foot-1 forward, who had her two best college seasons for UMass when Lanpher was an assistant coach with the Minutewomen, did not play in 2012-13. She emerged as a sophomore, Lanpher's first season, averaging 10.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 29 games (11 starts). As a junior in 2011-12, she started 25 of 29 games and averaged 12.1ppg and 5.8rpg for the Minutewomen. ...Robinson will play at NJIT under an NCAA rule that allows players who have received their bachelor's degree, but have not exhausted their four years of playing eligibility, to compete as graduate students at a new school. ...In 2010-11, Robinson reached double-figure scoring 14 times, with four 20-point games. On the boards, she had at least five rebounds in 19 games and posted two double-doubles. On December 10, 2010, she became the first UMass player named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week since 2008, highlighted by 25 points and 10 rebounds vs. Boston College. She netted her career scoring high of 30 points against East Carolina.
...As a junior, she scored 22 points in a game twice and grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds vs. Maine. 

High School: Robinson was a two-year captain at North Penn High School where she averaged 16.4ppg and 9.1rpg earning Lansdale Reporter Player of the Year, third-team All-State Class AAAA honors and All-Southeastern Pennsylvania third-team by the Philadelphia Inquirer. ...In her junior season, Robinson averaged 17.2ppg and 11.4rpg as she was recognized as a first-team all-league selection and third-team honoree by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Super "10" by The Intelligencer.
...Robinson started off her high school career at Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, where she was a two-time first-team All-league selection while scoring 749 points over two seasons.
