Lauren Bowler, a 2016 graduate of Stockton University, has joined the NJIT women's basketball staff as Director of Basketball Operations in July 2017.

Bowler got involved with coaching as an assistant coach for the Hazlet Rebels in June 2013, Jersey Shore Elite in April 2016 and Red Bank Regional High School in August 2016.

“I’m truly excited to have Lauren join our program as Director of Basketball Operations,” Lanpher commented. “Lauren played collegiately at Stockton University and has been heavily involved in New Jersey basketball both at the high school and AAU levels.  Her character, personality combined with her passion for the game will be great building blocks to help support our student-athletes.” 

A two-sport athlete, Bowler received her Associates Degree from Brookdale Community College in May 2014 and Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education from Stockton in December 2016.

A member of the women’s basketball team and women’s soccer team at Brookdale CC and Stockton, Bowler was named to the 2015 NJAC second-team in soccer at Stockton while at Brookdale CC, Bowler was a Region XIX Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player and in soccer was selected as an All-American second-team honoree (2014), first-team all-Region, first-team all-GSAC, NJCAA all-Tournament team and Region XIX Tournament Defensive Most Valuable Player in 2013.

A graduate of Red Bank Regional High School, Bowler earned the 2011 Sportsmanship Award and named to the Dean’s List in addition to being selected as Red Bank Regional Athlete of the Year.

Bowler worked for The Hoop Group, the largest basketball instruction organization in the world and Brookdale CC Sports Summer Camps.

She resides in Tinton Falls, NJ.
