Oren Zyndorf, a 2015 graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology, returns back to his alma mater as an Assistant Coach for men's volleyball head coach
Danny Goncalves announced.
A four-year member of the NJIT men's volleyball program (2012-15) and two-time EIVA All-Academic team honoree, Zyndorf played in over 70 matches as the Highlanders libero, combining for 545 digs.
"We are very lucky and tremendously excited to have Oren back in the gym," Goncalves added. "The experience he has obtained playing professionally, along with being an alum and a very successful student-athlete at NJIT is an excellent example and resource for our players to learn from."
Zyndorf began his professional career after graduating from NJIT in Israel, playing for club team Maccabi Hod Hasharon. In his second season, Zyndorf's team succeeded in appearing in the finals of the league for the first time in club history since 2008.
After a successful 2016-17 campaign, Zyndorf signed with the best club team in Israel, Hapoel Mate Asher Akko: A team that has a history of dominating Israeli Volleyball and European competition.
In 2017-18, Zyndorf's team was successful in capturing both the Israeli Cup and Israeli Championship. Moreover, his team reached the third round in the CEV Cup, falling to eventual European champions Belgorie Belgorod of Russia.
Zyndorf's team was again successful in 2018-19, in winning both the Isreali Cup and Israeli Championship.
He has participated on the USA u23 Beach National team in the summer of 2015 and continues to compete in tournaments weekly.

A graduate of Fair Lawn High School, Zyndorf, a first-team All-State, All-League and All-County, helped usher the State Champions to a 38-2 overall record.
