Biography

Coach Lane on Maguire: "NJIT women's basketball is excited to welcome Enya Maguire to our family," said Lane, who is entering his seventh season at the helm of the Highlanders.  "She brings experience and depth to our backcourt. She is a playmaker. She scores at all 3 levels, has deep range on her three and sees the floor very well."

2024-25: CSC Academic All-District Team. ... a graduate student from Belfast, Ireland, posted a 3.625 GPA and is pursuing her MBA in Business Administration. ...The 5-foot-5 guard joined the Highlanders in Fall 2024 after playing four seasons at Houston Christian. Maguire played in 100 games, scoring 585 career points, 195 rebounds, 156 assists, 130 three-pointers and 84 steals.  Maguire graduated with a bachelor of arts in Kinesiology Sport Management degree in May 2024. ...In a Highlanders uniform this season, Maguire scored a season-best 17 points at UAlbany (3.1.25), pulled down eight rebounds at Maine (3.6.25) and grabbed five steals against UMBC (2.22.25). ...Maguire led the America East Conference in three-point field goals per game (2.0) and ranked fourth in three-point field goal percentage (35.5). 

At Houston Christian: In four seasons at Houston Christian, Maguire played in 100 games, scoring 585 career points, 195 rebounds, 156 assists, 130 three-pointers and 84 steals.  Maguire graduated with a bachelor of arts in Kinesiology Sport Management degree in May 2024.

Prior to NJIT: Maguire, who played four seasons at Houston Christian University, hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland and attended high school at The Hun School of Princeton, New Jersey.  In high school, Maguire played at Ulidia Integrated College in Belfast, then at The Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey and played club basketball for the Ulster Elks.  The 5-foot-4 guard played for the u16 and u18 national teams and guided Ireland to a bronze medal at the U20 B Women's Basketball European Championships.  Maguire also represented Ireland in the 3x3 competition at the u18, u23 and senior women's teams.
