Jacob Meyer joined the NJIT coaching staff for the men’s and women’s tennis team in January 2015. In joining the tennis staff, Meyer is excited to team up with Hall of Fame Coach Ira Miller.
Coach Meyer wealth of experience includes cutting edge biomechanics methodologies, video analysis, and a thorough background in functional strength training.
Meyer has guided men's and women's tennis teams to seven conference titles including five appearances at the NCAA tournament and two at the NAIA National Tournament.
Most recently he was assistant coach for the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, where both men’s and women’s teams were consistently ranked in the Top 20 nationally.
Previously, Meyer was the head coach for Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. Meyer's first college coaching experience dates back to his alma mater, where he began as a women's volunteer assistant coach at Emory in 2004.
He has worked privately as an ATP coach and served as an ATP physio. Meyer was contracted as a Women's Tennis Association (WTA) racquet and string technician, served in country clubs and junior academies in Atlanta, taught private tennis lessons, ran strength clinics and has run speed & strength programs for college teams.
Meyer is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, ACSM certified exercise physiologist, and level two USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.
He holds major tennis certifications, including the USPTA Elite Professional, PTR Adult Professional, and USTA High Performance designations.

Meyer resides in Cornwall, NY with his fiancee Lyndsey.
