Getting to know Joseph Nguyen ...

Why did you choose NJIT as your university?
I chose NJIT because it is a prestigious school with a very nice campus close to home, and offered the program I desired as well as a swim team.

When you were choosing between college swimming programs, what was unique about the NJIT Men's Swimming & Diving program?
NJIT Swimming & Diving was unique because at the time, the team was small compared to other teams. In addition, the coaches were considered young for a Division I coaching staff and I liked that they could mentor, engage, and understand what we were going through as college students.

Why did you choose to be part of the NJIT Men's Swimming & Diving program?
I chose NJIT Swimming & Diving because the team was small, I knew that we would all get to know each other easier and better. Also, I wanted to continue swimming because I knew that I had not reached my limit, and a Division I coaching staff such as this one would surely help me reach my goals.
