Prior to NJIT: A 5-foot-10 midfielder from Virginia, Monahan was a member of the MLS Youth Academy team, DC United, where he was an Eastern Conference Atlantic champion. Monahan is considered a four-star recruit and rated #23 on Top Drawer Soccer’s Mid Atlantic Region list. He was also a member of the Virginia State ODP team and the Regional ODP team.
