Mark Williams joined the NJIT men’s soccer staff as a goalkeeper assistant coach in August 2016, having most recently served as an assistant coach/goalkeeper coach at Seton Hall University since 2013.
Williams, a graduate of Montclair State University, is the Owner of the Williams Sports Training Center and Director of Speed Power and Fitness for the Player Development Academy (PDA) for all academy level teams.
"Mark brings a wealth of experience from coaching college to professional players on a daily bases at Williams Sports Training Center in Whippany NJ, Barboto added. “I believe he will assist in bringing our goalkeepers to the next level!"
His high profile clientele includes: MLS athlete, Jon Conway of New York Red Bull Chicago Fire, Tim Howard (Goalkeeper of US National Team | Everton Football Club), Heather O'Reilly (Sky Blue FC WPS | US National Team), Karina LeBlanc (Goalkeeper for the Canadian Women's National Team), and Sofia Perez (Sky Blue WPS and Mexican Women’s National Team.
Williams was the Head Strength and Conditioning coach for the Jersey Sky Blue Women’s Soccer Team, New York Dragons (Arena Football) and New York/New Jersey Metrostars (currently NY Red Bulls) for three seasons.
Mark currently holds an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma and E Coaching License.
