Evan Brandsdorfer joined the NJIT men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2014, having most recently served as an assistant men’s coach at Drew University in Madison, NJ.
 
The East Brunswick, NJ resident is a 2012 graduate of Temple University, where he was 3-year player for the Division I Owls after transferring from the University of North Florida.
 
A Dean’s List student at Temple and member of the Athletic Director’s honor roll, Brandsdorfer earned his master’s degree from the University of Stirling in Scotland, United Kingdom. There, he played on teams and served as an assistant coach for Eddy May, a former Scottish U21 international player.
 
In addition to his work with the Stirling XI, he also assisted with Falkirk FC, a team in the Scottish Professional Football (soccer) League.
 
While still in college, he was a summer marketing intern with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer and a soccer intern with YSC Sports in Pennsylvania. He also began coaching and training players. Beginning in 2008, he was a trainer/coach in East Brunswick and in 2013, he was a lead trainer for the Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) Youth Academy New Jersey elite camp.
 
He broke into college coaching stateside with Drew, where he assisted head coach Lenny Armuth in leading the NCAA Division III program to an 11-4-5 record in 2013.
