Nick Vomero, a 2012 graduate of St. John’s University, joined the NJIT men’s and women’s fencing coaching staff in September 2019 as an Assistant Coach.
Vomero received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Professional Studies degrees from St. John’s, where he was a three-time All-American in men’s epee.
Upon graduating, Vomero was awarded the George Santelli Most Valuable Player award for athletics and academic achievement.
A veteran of the United States Men’s Epee Junior and Senior World Cup team, Vomero is a Division I NAC Senior National Champion.
Vomero’s other results include: a top eight finish at the World University Games, multiple top 64 finishes in Senior World Cups and Senior Grand Prix’s and multiple top finishes at Division I NAC’s.
He is owner of the Elite Fencers Club in Summit, New Jersey, where he leads training daily and developed a fencing program at Millburn Middle School.
Vomero resides in Springfield, NJ.
