Jordan Brannan

Jordan Brannan joined the NJIT cross country coaching staff in the summer of 2026 after serving as the head coach of cross country and an assistant coach for track & field at SUNY Delhi from 2024-26. 

During his time at SUNY Delhi, Brannan helped lead the program to significant competitive and academic achievements, including the women’s program’s first NCAA Cross Country Championship appearance and first NCAA Indoor Championship appearance. His athletes also produced an All-American performance in the women’s 800 meters and an NCAA Outdoor Championship qualifier in the event.

Across four seasons, Brannan coached athletes to seven individual SUNYAC championships and three runner-up finishes while helping establish multiple school records in cross country and track & field.

A former standout distance runner at Iona College, Brannan earned a B.A. in History and an M.S.T. in Adolescent Social Studies Education. 

During his collegiate career, he was a two-time MAAC individual champion in the 3K and 5K, a four-time MAAC Cross Country Team Champion from 2017–21, and a 2019 IC4A Champion in the indoor 5K.
