In his senior season, Flanagan scored nine goals and six assists as Holmdel was Shore Conference and State Sectional finalists. A team-captain and Player of the Year (in Holmdel), Flanagan earned first-team all-Shore, all-Monmouth, all-County, Group 2 all-State and Shore Sports Network All Division in 2013. He played for PDA McGeough and was team captain of the basketball team and member of the baseball team.
