The Highlander Cup is a year-long competition between teams that incorporates academic achievement, support of fellow athletics teams, team performance, community service and attendance at Student-Athlete Development programs.  The winner of the Highlander Cup competition will be announced each May at the Student-Athlete Banquet.

Team awards 18%

• 5 for national
• 4 for 1^st of conference
• 3.5 for 2^nd of conference
• 3 for 3^rd of conference
• 2.5 for 4^th of conference

Community Service 15%

• Percentage of team based

Individual awards 15%

• 5 for national
• 4 for end of season conference teams or individual recognition
• 3 for conference player of the week
• 2 for njit athlete of the week

Academic achievements 20%

• GPA
